Met Council is America’s largest Jewish charity dedicated to serving the needy and helps operate or supply dozens of food pantries across the five boroughs. During the pandemic, Met Council’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund helped feed over 305,000 New Yorkers and counting. Met Council dramatically escalated its food and grocery programs, launching a massive home delivery operation, opening a new warehouse, and expanding its network of food pantries to help serve homebound families, seniors, and Holocaust survivors.

“The story of Purim is a story of perseverance and hope - just what we need during these dark COVID times. We are thrilled to have these great talents help our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund that has already assisted over 305,000 New Yorkers during the pandemic,” said David Greenfield, CEO, Met Council. “These are all great talents lending their time to a great cause and we hope New Yorkers that can will sign up and donate to enjoy a hilarious retelling of the Purim story that’s been told for centuries.”
