U.S. Reps. Grace Meng (D-NY), Ted Deutch (D-FL), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and Chris Smith (R-NJ) announced Tuesday that they recently led Democratic and Republican Members of Congress on a letter to President Biden urging him to respond to the rising antisemitism in the United States and around the world.

The Congressmembers asked that the administration swiftly implement Meng’s COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, develop an inter-agency strategy to combat antisemitism and protect American Jews, and to expeditiously nominate an Ambassador at Large to lead the Office of the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism at the State Department.
