Alex Itzkowitz, coordinator for Chaverim of Northeastern PA, which covers Scranton, Chapman Lake, and the Poconos, hosted a volunteer appreciation barbecue at his home in Scranton to honor the volunteers for their dedication.
Co-Founder of Chaverim of Queens Avi Cyperstein joined to say a few words of chizuk and to thank Alex for his many years of dedicated service to Chaverim of Queens.
Rabbi Samuel Sandhaus, the Director of the Jewish Foundation for the Elderly of Northeast PA presented the organization with a $10,000 grant to provide additional resources and assistance to the elderly Scranton community.
