On Sunday night, September 12, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Laub graciously organized a parlor meeting at their residence in Kew Gardens Hills to spread awareness of Chazaq’s life-changing programs.

The night was headlined by Rav Noach Isaac Oelbaum shlita, who spoke about the magnitude of Chazaq’s work in providing educational after-school programs for Jewish public-school students of all ages and in having a great system in guiding parents to transfer students from public schools to yeshivos.

Chazaq Director Rabbi Ilan Meirov began the evening with a slide-show presentation, showing the scope of Chazaq’s outreach. He highlighted the statistics not only in the Queens community but throughout the United States. Since starting Chazaq’s “no child left behind” initiative during the 2017 school year, Chazaq has transferred over 1,100 students from public schools to yeshivah.

Councilman James Gennaro rounded out the speakers and discussed the contribution Chazaq’s work has made to the community at large and expressed his amazement in their overall work.
