Showing appreciation to law enforcement is always appropriate; however, the holiday season brings a unique opportunity to highlight the service and dedication of our servicemembers. Each year, the start of January coincides with the beginning of winter – and this year is expected to be frigid.

Over the course of the year, Hatzolah of Queens and Great Neck have the occasional opportunity to partner with members of the New York Police Department on their medical emergency response calls within the community. These interactions are always cordial and professional, with utmost adherence to mutual respect, with a shared responsibility of putting the needs of the community first. Avigdor Cyperstein, a committed Queens Hatzolah volunteer, represented the organization to show appreciation at the 112th police precinct (Forest Hills, Rego Park) with a delicious lunch delivery from Aron’s Kissena Farms’ delicatessen department. Also present was Simon Sebag, Jewish liaison to the Public Advocate’s office, and Chaim Stern. Menashe Friedman, another Queens Hatzolah volunteer, presented the officers at the 107th precinct with a similar thank you. The 102nd division was also acknowledged with a delivery from the chiefs, paramedics, physicians, and EMTs of Queens Hatzolah.
