US Rep. Grace Meng, Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, Monday issued the following statement on this past weekend’s terror attack in Jerusalem.
“I was horrified to learn of yet another violent terrorist attack in Israel this past weekend that left eight people injured, several of whom were from New York. I am sending prayers for a speedy recovery to all who were injured, and my heart goes out to their families during this extremely difficult time.
This attack comes just a week after hundreds of rockets were fired into Israeli cities from Gaza, and it marked yet another addition to the series of attacks over the past few months that has taken 19 innocent lives. I condemn these heinous acts of terrorism against our ally, Israel.”
