Students at the Bnos Malka Academy became documentary producers on Monday and Tuesday of Chanukah. Students were grouped into fours and fives to interview survivors of the Holocaust, and they videoed their responses in order to share their story and document it for future generations.

The filming was a part of Names, Not Numbers©: an interactive, multimedia Holocaust project created by educator Tova Fish-Rosenberg. The girls gained tremendously from the experience, inspired by the survivors and motivated to pass on their message. After the Chanukah break, the students will begin to edit the videos to produce 20-minute documentaries that convey the key points.
