JEP/Nageela hosted over 30 boys and staff as they traveled upstate during Presidents’ Day Weekend for the annual Nageela Boys Winter Retreat.

Sunday afternoon began with many fun activities at the Camp Nageela campsite, where the group enjoyed soccer, Hungry Hungry Hippos Live, and indoor swimming. Together as a group, the kids built and started a bonfire and made delicious S’mores.

The next day, we went to Holiday Mountain for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing.

Many of the kids participated in these activities for the first time and had lots of fun. Thank you to the amazing staff who came and helped make this event the success that it was. The kids and staff are looking forward to future events and Camp Nageela 2020!

For more than 30 years, JEP/Nageela hosted year-round programs for Jewish children of different backgrounds to enjoy learning and have fun in a wholesome Jewish environment. Camp Nageela provides four-week sessions in the summer – one for girls and one for boys – where children have the opportunity to connect with their heritage, foster close friendships, and work with amazing camp staff members who are positive role models.

Help Nageela campers have more space to be joyfully Jewish and finish the activity center before the summer by calling 516-374-1528 (ext. 140).
