At the fourth-grade boys’ virtual melaveh malkah, the boys under instruction by Rabbi Shmuel Soffer made their own tzitzis. Before leaving school, they received a bag filled with supplies to create the tzitzis, ingredients for a make-your-own pizza, and snacks to enjoy their special night.

Each class performed a video that was shared with the participants’ families, and they enjoyed an evening of family time, learning, and, of course, raffles. The event ended with a kumsitz led by Rabbi Michael Ribalt.

This has been a challenging year for students and staff. To help ease some of the tension and just give the students a day to relax and enjoy, YCQ sent each class on a trip. Grades 5-8 went snow tubing last week. One class had to be quarantined and missed their trip. The Administration was able to change the trip for that class and the girls enjoyed an amazing day snow tubing and doing what they do best: just being kids.
