Tightlining is the art of creating an illusion of bigger eyes, and it also thickens the appearance of your lashes. Plus, it’s like wearing invisible eyeliner. This underrated beauty trick involves lining the inner, upper rims of your eyes with a dark eyeliner and the placement of your eyeliner directly in between your lashes by making small dots.
You will first need to prep your eyelids with a primer and set them with some powder or a neutral eye shadow that helps it stay in place. Wearing the right undereye concealer is also important, as it will minimize your imperfections and illuminate the eyes. Your concealer should match your skin tone or be one shade lighter, unless you are trying to camouflage dark circles or puffiness, in which case you need to go darker.
Now that you are ready to tightline, lift the lashes upward and color in the upper waterline with your dark eyeliner. Next, fill in the gaps between the lashes, as close to the roots as possible. For a more attractive look, repeat the second step under the lower lashes, starting your eyeliner at the outer corner and tightline ½ or 2/3 of your lashline.
