After months of lockdowns and working from home due to the COVID pandemic, most of us have resorted to a more relaxed form of dressing. Nevertheless, the world of fashion carries on. It seems there’s something for everyone, depending on your sense of style and mood. As we head for colder weather, think fuzzy coats and bright furs, cozy sweaters and textured cardigans with plaid designs, along with bright, elongated sweatshirts. Patchwork pieces, fringes, and puffy sleeves are just some of the details found on fall’s clothing. On a warmer day, just throw on a poncho with slouch boots and you’re ready to head out the door.

This season, we see the resurgence of the skirt suit. Think cropped jackets and pencil skirts with belted blazers. Plaid suits with colorful checks have also returned. If you love leather, look for pieces with beautiful foliage prints. Equestrian influence has surfaced too. Quilted jackets, tops, skirts, and bags are everywhere. For some season-less dress selections, find some with sarong ties, which add style and flair. The feminine and practical DVF wrap dresses have also made a comeback. Fall 2020 pays homage to the ‘70s age of glitz and glamour, flamboyant and inspired from the past. Polka dots, paisleys, and ethnic patterns are quite popular. Swap blazers for vests on your Zoom meeting, which is less stuffy looking and more comfortable while still professional.

For a cozy and fashionable look, try a pair of thigh-high boots or opt for kitten heel boots, which surfaced and are geared towards comfort yet elegant and refined. If you don’t enjoy wearing boots, opt for some chic platform shoes, Accessories this season are also a great way to add some instant style. This fall, you will see thick-chained handbags with metal rope handles, and lots of head and neck scarves. For instant glamour, simply add a statement necklace or piece of turquoise jewelry.

During the pandemic, as masks have become mandatory when social distancing is not possible, many opted for less or a no makeup look. Despite world affairs, makeup has always been a mood lifter and new trends do not disappear. So what’s on trend for fall 2020?

Artist Eyes - Colored eyeliner or shadow can easily brighten up your face. Liner is bold and winged this season, to help your eyes stand out and capture attention even when wearing a mask. Blue is back for a retro and fresh look. If you’re not a fan of colored liner, stick with your perfectly ultra-winged black eyeliner over the colored shadow.

Snow Queen - If you have a dark complexion, opt for some white eyeliner paired with lush lashes and a nude lip.

Fresh-Face Radiance - Blush this season is dewy and natural looking. Soft and feminine cheeks can easily be created with pink or peach blush. Add some liquid highlighter for lots of glow and you’re ready to go.

Beautiful Brows- Feminine and fluffy, groomed and arched brows that are not overdrawn are ever so popular.

Sparkle and Shine - This beautiful trend is here to stay. To update your look, add some sparkle to your eyes or cheekbones for some instant glamour.

Back to Basics - Neutral shadows and nude lipstick or moisturizing gloss look great if you love a natural and clean look to get you through winter. If you want to punch up the eyes a bit, try a smoky brown eye which pays homage to the ‘90s resurgence.

Vibrant Lips - If nude lips is not your pick, and you prefer a vibrant mouth, berry and red lips are once again back, as they are usual fall staples.

Although times have changed, fall makeup is still alive and well. There are choices available for all, so have some fun and choose what speaks to you.
