You don’t believe that you will ever be okay again. You’re dizzy from the horror of daily world events, never mind juggling work responsibilities, school, or family. And you don’t even have time for the nervous breakdown that you deserve. Sheesh. Well, you know what they say: “The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.” And look at this way, sweet friends: You’re still breathing. That means you’ve already survived all of your past setbacks and stumbling blocks. You obviously have the strength and ability to learn, change, and grow. The trick is to believe it.

Wow, you are speaking “your truth.” I guess it must be true then. Think again. Objective truth is country miles from subjective perceptions, and it’s high time we admit that. Acting as if our opinions or ideas are some prevailing truth has actually caused untold universal deceit. Sure, you hear “experts” speak with a great deal of authenticity and accuracy; but how real are their assertions? Remember that denying facts does not make something accurate or remotely legitimate.

There better be a darned good gift bag once your pity party is over. I know. I know. The universe is conspiring against you. I feel you. You feel downright used, bruised, and abused. Spilled your coffee all over your keyboard and new outfit again? Well, spilling hot coffee on your lap wakes you up faster than drinking it. Ha. Stay grounded and take one cup, I mean one “day” at a time. Your boss reamed you out again, the kids simply won’t answer unless you scream like a psycho, and your “so called” best friend hasn’t even answered your text since the 12th of never. Sheesh.

You know what they say: “Everybody wants to change the world. But nobody wants to change the toilet paper roll.” How about you be the change? If you believe you can actually make a difference in this ole world, you will act differently. Instead of dreaming or overthinking, you will begin to take action. And that, my friends, is where the magic is. Mind your mind. What are you thinking right now, and is it helpful?

OMG. Your favorite team just lost the playoffs? Talk about a letdown, huh. You know the feeling: Your family put those empty cereal boxes back in the cabinet. There’s nothing like having disappointment for breakfast. How about that time you received no “likes” on your witty status update? Or when you can’t find the answers to your homework on Google? Sheesh. Sometimes disappointments can deluge your entire life. You know, when it rains, it hails coconuts. Well you know what they say: “If life doesn’t break you today, don’t worry – it will try again tomorrow.” But guess what? Even if you’re fed up, you gotta keep your head up.
