Avraham Avinu was told, “Lech L’cha mei’artzecha” – to leave his land, his home, and his family. This was not only a physical journey but a spiritual one. Avraham had to leave behind the familiar and step into the unknown, relying fully on Hashem. Rashi explains that the greatness of Avraham was measured not by what he left behind, but by how he grew through the challenges he faced.
In our own lives, we may not be leaving cities or lands, but we are called to leave behind old midos, complacency, and doubts, and walk in emunah, bitachon, and chesed. Every small step of growth, every act of chesed, brings nachas ruach to Hashem. May our T’hilim and prayers draw r’fuah sh’leimah, y’shuah, and sh’mirah to all of klal Yisrael.
