A successful broadcasting career is often measured by ratings and longevity. But what a broadcaster chooses to do with that success can be just as important.
For Sid Rosenberg, it has meant speaking his mind, standing up for Israel and the Jewish people, and defending the principles he believes in. These are among the reasons the Queens Jewish Link has proudly honored him twice over the years.
On October 22, Rosenberg will be inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, Class of 2026, at the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center. The honor recognizes a career that has made him one of New York radio’s most recognizable personalities.

From WFAN and his years alongside Don Imus to his partnership with Bernard McGuirk and his current program, Sid & Friends in the Morning, Rosenberg has earned a loyal following through his humor and outspoken opinions. He has never shied away from controversy, and his listeners wouldn’t have it any other way.
For many in the Jewish community, Sid’s contributions extend well beyond broadcasting. He has been an outspoken supporter of Israel, particularly since the October 7 attacks, defending the Jewish state’s right to protect its citizens, challenging unfair criticism, and speaking out against antisemitism when others have been reluctant to do so.
Sid doesn’t expect everyone to agree with him. His opinions are strong, his delivery can be fiery, and he makes no apologies for either. Yet even those who disagree with him know where he stands, especially when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people.
At the Queens Jewish Link, we have had the pleasure of witnessing that commitment firsthand. Honoring Sid on two separate occasions reflected our appreciation not only for his accomplishments in radio but also for his friendship, his convictions, and his readiness to speak up on matters important to our community.

His Hall of Fame induction is an achievement we are especially delighted to celebrate. The Brooklyn kid who made his mark on New York radio will take his place among the state’s most accomplished broadcasters, having built his career without compromising the personality or principles that have defined him.
In a profession where public figures often weigh every word, Sid has never been particularly concerned with telling people what they want to hear. Whether discussing politics, sports, Israel, or the latest controversy, he speaks with the same passion that has kept listeners tuning in throughout his career.
As Sid prepares to receive this well-deserved honor, we congratulate him on his achievements and thank him for his friendship and steadfast support of Israel and the Jewish people. We wish him good health, continued success, and many more years behind the microphone.
Mazal tov, Sid!
