At MTA, the relationships between our talmidim and rebbeim extend far beyond the walls of the yeshivah. This Sukkos, MTA rebbeim brought the warmth, ruach, and Torah of the yeshivah directly into the communities where our talmidim and families live, with programming taking place throughout the New York and New Jersey area.
From Brooklyn and Monsey to Bergen County, Passaic, Queens, and West Hempstead, MTA rebbeim joined talmidim, families, alumni, and community members for special Sukkos gatherings. Rabbi Brownstein celebrated with the Brooklyn community at the Hochman sukkah, while Rabbi Kerner hosted talmidim in his sukkah in Monsey.
In Passaic, Rabbi Schenker hosted an Open House Simchas Beis HaSho’eivah, while Queens families had the opportunity to celebrate with Rabbi Kaminetsky and Rabbi Pearl at the Basalel sukkah. The programming continued through the final days of Chol HaMoed, as Rabbi Balsam, Rabbi Konigsberg, and Rabbi Fuchs joined the West Hempstead community in the Sultans’ sukkah for a Leil Hoshana Rabbah program. In Teaneck, Rabbi Barth participated in the Masmidim CBY Sukkah gathering, bringing MTA Torah and ruach to the local community.

These events reflect an important part of the MTA experience: MTA is in your community. Our rebbeim don’t simply teach our talmidim during the school day; they build relationships with them and their families and are active members of the communities they call home. Sukkos provided another opportunity to strengthen those connections through Torah, celebration, and shared experiences.
Whether in the MTA building or in a neighborhood sukkah, the sense of achdus and connection that defines MTA continues well beyond the school day. This Sukkos, communities across the region had the opportunity to experience firsthand what makes MTA special: a yeshivah whose rebbeim are present, engaged, and an integral part of the lives and communities of their talmidim.
