Yeshiva of Central Queens kicked off its Sunday Family Learning program this past Sunday, welcoming students in Grades 5-8 and their families for a morning of t’filah, Torah, and inspiration. The opening program featured Rabbi Dov Keilson, Mashgiach Ruchani at Yeshiva Darchei Torah, an author, speaker, and musician, along with Rosh Chodesh Hallel.
“Sunday Learning” provides an opportunity for families to spend meaningful time together while strengthening their connection to Torah and the school community. Each program begins with Shacharis, followed by breakfast and an engaging shiur from a YCQ educator or guest speaker.

YCQ alumni also attend the program, returning to learn alongside current students and families. Their participation reflects the lasting connections formed at YCQ and makes the program a gathering place for the broader school community.
This year’s guest speakers include Rabbi Mordechai Becher, a Yeshiva University instructor and author of Gateway to Judaism; Rabbi Moshe Bamberger, Mashgiach Ruchani at Lander College for Men and a prolific Torah author; and Rabbi Eliyahu Maksumov, an educator with EMET Outreach. They join an all-star lineup of YCQ rebbeim and school leaders who bring their own insights and enthusiasm to the program.

With engaging shiurim, raffles, and end-of-year prizes, Sunday Family Learning helps students develop a love of Torah while creating opportunities for families to connect and grow together.
