Seventh- and eighth-graders at Bnos Malka Academy are exploring their interests through electives, choosing from Torah and Table, Robotics, Gym, Crochet, and Art.
In Torah and Table, students learn the halachos related to food, then prepare recipes connected to each unit. Their first topic, Bishul Akum, explored how and why these laws apply, with baked ziti, nacho sauce, and Asian rice bowls on the menu.

Robotics students assemble robots and learn to maneuver them, developing the skills needed to compete in a robot game against other schools. Each challenge gives them a chance to practice teamwork and problem-solving.
In Gym, competitive tournaments bring students together for spirited games, building athletic skills and encouraging good sportsmanship.

Crochet offers students the opportunity to learn a craft that takes patience and practice, while Art provides a creative outlet for exploring ideas and expressing individual style.
With choices that span learning, technology, athletics, and creativity, electives give students a chance to try something new and enjoy a different kind of classroom experience.
