Yeshiva of Central Queens invites prospective families to its upcoming Open House on Wednesday, November 4, to discover a school community dedicated to Torah values, educational excellence, and each child’s individual growth.

YCQ pursues high academic standards in both Judaic and General Studies for students in Grades N–8. Its comprehensive education instills a deep love of learning, Judaism, and Medinat Yisrael, together with a commitment to halachah and a life of Torah u’mitzvot.

Within a warm, nurturing environment, YCQ’s dedicated faculty uses varied teaching methods, small-group instruction, and personalized learning to help students reach their fullest potential. Engaging lessons combine knowledge and skill development with meaningful experiences that encourage critical thinking, curiosity, creativity, and active participation.

YCQ’s youngest learners build foundations in literacy and math through hands-on activities and creative exploration. Daily tefilah, immersive Ivrit activities, Shabbos celebrations, and parshah projects help children develop a joyful connection to Torah and Jewish life.

As students advance, the rich curriculum continues developing proficiency in Torah learning, Ivrit, English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies. STEM experiences, coding, art, music, athletics, and extracurricular activities give students opportunities to explore their interests and talents. In the Junior High School, extracurriculars, including Torah Bowl, debate, and student government, further develop academic and leadership skills.

Relationships between students and teachers are central to the YCQ experience. Social-emotional learning, chesed opportunities, and informal educational programming help students develop resilience, empathy, and a sense of responsibility to others. These experiences prepare them for future academic and professional success while laying the groundwork for spiritually and halachically fulfilling lives.

YCQ families reflect the rich diversity of the Queens community and beyond, united by shared Torah values and a commitment to educational excellence. Prospective families are encouraged to attend the November 4 Open House to learn how YCQ partners with parents to help children grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
