Last week, Rambam Mesivta welcomed prospective students and their families for two well-attended open houses. The packed events gave families an opportunity to learn more about Rambam’s academic programs, extracurricular activities, and student life.
Each evening began with remarks from Rosh Mesivta Rabbi Avi Herschman, followed by Principal Dr. Hillel Goldman. After the opening remarks, parents and students broke into smaller groups to hear more about the various opportunities available to students at Rambam.
Among the presenters was junior David Rabinow, who spoke to parents about student life at Rambam, highlighting the many clubs, activities, and opportunities for students to pursue their interests. The presentations also covered Rambam’s STEM and engineering programs, including CIJE, which allows students to design, develop, and present their own inventions.
Prospective students also had the opportunity to hear from Rambam rebbeim, including Rabbi Yossi Ziskind, Rabbi Dr. Andrew Sicklick, and Rabbi Ilan Schimmel, and learn more about the school’s Torah learning programs.
Students participated in sports and activities in the gym, getting a taste of Rambam’s athletic programs and spending time with current students.
Junior Ephraim Ganchrow met with the eighth graders to discuss student life and empowerment and shared with them his experiences being involved in countless Rambam activities.
The evenings concluded with dinner, giving families another opportunity to meet members of the Rambam community. Thank you to everyone who helped organize and run the open houses and to all the families who attended.
