On Taanis Esther, Shevach students went to visit local nursing homes to deliver mishloach manos provided by Agudath Israel of America, and to bring the spirit of Purim to the residents. Dressed up in fun costumes, the Shevach students, along with the elderly residents, had a memorable and uplifting experience.

Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Kobrin, Rosh HaYeshivah and Head of School of the North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA), announced at the beginning of the student-led Megillah reading on Purim Day, that the Great Neck school had purchased a new Megillah to be named the “Dr. Paul Brody Megillah.” The new scroll will be used every Purim when the students chant the Megillah for the entire Middle School, their parents, grandparents, siblings, and faculty members, in a program that Dr. Brody, whose daughters attended the Academy, instituted in 2002.

A delegation of 8th grade students of the Bnos Malka Academy had the opportunity to present at the Teach NYS Virtual Mission to Albany on Tuesday, March 22. The students met with a representative of New York State Senator Samra Brouk. To prepare, their teacher, Mrs. Julie Faska, coached them in the art of persuasive speech.

Hadar Bet Yaakov is enmeshed in play rehearsals! Mrs. Shaindel Antelis, famous singer-songwriter in the Jewish music world, joined hands with Hadar Bet Yaakov as both writer and director for their springtime production of The Hidden Miracle.
