When Yeshiva Har Torah fifth-grader Georgie Gelnick won a raffle’s “Principal for the Day” prize, she chose principles over parties by requesting from Mrs. Sara Duani, Interim Associate Principal, that the school host Boots for Israel for one of its popular “Sole-idarity” boot-packing events. Most students would have opted for recess, screening movies in the auditorium, or pizza and ice cream parties, noted BFI founder Yakir Wachstock during a brief interview with the busy “new principal.”

The Central Wildcats are coming home! This week, the Yeshiva University High School for Girls faculty and staff returned to campus for the 2024-25 school year. Faculty, staff, and students reunited with a high-energy week filled with learning and programming.

Every school graduates its oldest grade and then moves into Summer Mode, to prepare for the coming school year. MTA is no different, but the Class of 2024 really was, and this unique grade left an indelible mark in so many places. Sometimes, it is only after the building is empty of students that the realization hits that this was truly a grade like no other.

This past week, we joyfully welcomed our students back into the building as we embarked on our 33^rd year of Torah, midos, and excellence!

After a summer full of preparation, including three full days of professional development, the YCQ faculty warmly welcomed back their amazing talmidim and talmidos last week. Students were thrilled to see one another and their teachers as they streamed into the building, ready to learn and grow.

HALB parents, students, and faculty had a blast at the Back to School Color Run! The PTA arranged for a fun day with a color run, bouncy houses, obstacle course, balloon animals, face painting, Rita’s and pizza! We are looking forward to a great school year!
