On Sunday, January 9, 2022, Yashar LaChayal will be hosting THE Hoops for Heroes Men’s 3 x 3 Basketball Tournament at Magen David Yeshivah in Brooklyn. The goal of the Tournament is to raise awareness and funds for Yashar LaChayal, while connecting Jews in the U.S. with our Chayalim.
The National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) announced this week that Avi Frier of Hollywood, Florida, has been named its new National Program Director. In his new role, Frier will provide training and support for Youth and Program Directors at Young Israel branches across the United States.
On Sunday, October 31, more than 6,000 people around the globe joined together to celebrate the Chag HaSemikhah 5782 of Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS). This year’s ceremony recognized 147 new rabbinic graduates as they received their ordination.
