On Thursday night, July 2, Charlie Harary, a well-known speaker, shared an inspiring shiur at Shaare Emunah, the Sephardic Congregation of the Five Towns, in Cedarhurst. The shiur was hosted by Chazaq and Zichron Naftali. Zichron Naftali provides food and healthcare for thousands in Israel, and Chazaq is responsible for many amazing programs, including hosting thousands of shiurim and helping transfer more than 2,000 Jewish children from public school to yeshivah.

On Thursday, July 23, the community gathered at the Beth Gavriel Bukharian Congregation for an incredibly inspiring program hosted by Chazaq and livestreamed by Torah Anytime. Top speakers shared uplifting ideas throughout the day until 7 p.m. In the afternoon, Beth Gavriel also offered free shaatnez checking, and the Keever Rebbe shlita came to offer brachos and advice to individuals and families.

As the number of Holocaust survivors continues to dwindle, each passing represents the loss of another living witness to history. Behind every survivor is a story of unimaginable hardship, resilience, and courage. While some stories were carefully preserved for future generations, others faded quietly with time. Sarah Turner’s is one of those stories—known today only through fragments, yet powerful enough to inspire an entire community to ensure that her final wish would not be forgotten.
