MTA talmidim are getting an authentic Israel experience while participating in the yeshivah’s one-of-a-kind Makor Chaim Exchange Program. During their second week in Israel, they spent time touring the country in addition to the incredible learning they are doing at Yeshivat Makor Chaim.
“We went on a tiyul around the Gush Etzion area, where we walked down the Path of the Fathers. It was so meaningful to travel the road that our own forefathers took to get from Chevron to Yerushalayim,” shared Dov Hochman (’23). “We were also shown a historic mikvah from the times of the Avos, which was fascinating to see.”
Talmidim enjoyed a beautiful view of Gush Etzion at Migdal Eider, the highest point in the area, and learned about different places that have biblical and Talmudic sources. “It’s such an unbelievable experience to see first-hand the places we learn about in the Torah,” added Yisrael Dovid Rosenberg (’23). “It really brings Torah to life, and it’s such a unique opportunity to be here learning at Yeshivat Makor Chaim.”
