A delegation of 8th grade students of the Bnos Malka Academy had the opportunity to present at the Teach NYS Virtual Mission to Albany on Tuesday, March 22. The students met with a representative of New York State Senator Samra Brouk. To prepare, their teacher, Mrs. Julie Faska, coached them in the art of persuasive speech.
The girls began their presentation with each student introducing herself and explaining her passion for private education. They then presented in committees asking their legislators for additional funding in STEM, Security, and Physical Education. Their arguments were compelling, informative, and well-received.
