On Motza’ei Shabbos, November 23, the fourth grade girls participated in the first ever m’laveh malkah at the Yeshiva of Central Queens. The atmosphere was fun-filled and interactive. The program was a Mother-Daughter-Grandmother event. The fourth grade girls made creative art projects with their moms and their grandmothers. Aliza Milchman said, “I loved working on the project with my mom. I did half and she did half.” There was amazing food for the m’laveh malkah and laughter throughout the night.

On Monday, November 25, MTA’s Sports Management Club enjoyed a private tour of Citi Field, including the ballpark, offices, clubhouse, and operations center. Talmidim met with David Hayob, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Mets, and learned about all of the details that go into planning a major sporting event. One of MTA’s most popular extracurriculars, the Sports Management Club regularly hosts speakers from the sports industry and takes trips to stadiums across the tri-state area.

Mr. Steven Gar delivers sincere message to students on Jewish unity

On Thursday, November 21, grades 10 through 12 were privileged to hear from counter-terrorism expert Mr. Steven Gar, who is committed to protecting Jews worldwide, while also working to become a Rabbi.

On Thursday, November 28, the Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe Kindergarten boys were very excited to welcome their mommies to Yeshiva for a special Mommy & Me Chanukah Workshop. The program started in the dining room with the boys and their mommies singing, clapping, and dancing along with our music teacher, Morah Rena Greenberg.

SKA’s annual Shabbaton, held on Friday, November 22, through Sunday, November 24, certainly lived up to expectations this year! The singing, z’miros, achdus, talent, and warmth throughout the weekend at the Somerset Hilton Doubletree Hotel were extraordinary.
