Colors: Cyan Color

As far as provocative headlines go, a call to remove masks in 2021 is akin to declaring the Earth is round in 1421. It will be seen as anti-scientific, harmful nonsense. Nonetheless, as the pandemic wanes and the vaccine is distributed, there needs to come a point where people can be comfortable to go back to normal.

The annual gathering of Conservatives from around the country, CPAC, occurred this past week, and as usual, the trained eyes of the Left eagerly searched for weaknesses to exploit.  For a Party that thrives on conspiracy theories, this latest one is a doozy.  The story around CPAC is that the stage was deliberately designed to look like an obscure Nazi symbol no one has ever heard of.

On May 20, 2020, the Queens Jewish Link published my column, “The Worst Governor In America.”  In it, I laid out the argument that Andrew Cuomo was leading the state of New York to ruin during the height of the pandemic’s first wave, while the media allowed him to falsely blame all his failures on President Trump.  Now that their preferred candidate, Joe Biden, is in office, Cuomo has outlived the Democrats’ need for him.  So now, nearly 300 days after the Queens Jewish Link said it, the mainstream media is finally ready to admit that Andrew Cuomo is the worst governor in America.

Pink or blue or rainbow?

This is not a question about colors. It’s a matter of a type of self-indulgent behavior that is becoming annoyingly – and occasionally dangerously – common in US culture, related to gender identity.

The Rabbinical Alliance of America — Igud HaRabbonim, representing over 950 American rabbis — decries the recent decision by Israel’s Supreme Court accepting Reform and Conservative conversions performed in Israel as a polarizing decision that serves to further divide the Jewish people. Israel’s Supreme Court has no religious standing and therefore no right to make a religious decision. When Israel’s court system makes Jewish status decisions that will be recognized by only a portion of the Jewish people, it contradicts sacred tradition and divides the Jewish people. This is bad for Israel, bad for the Jewish people, and bad for the would-be-converts confused about their religious status.
