The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 1,500 traditional rabbis in matters of public policy, Tuesday condemned Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) for its disinformation campaign designed to cover for modern anti-Semitic hatred. Most recently, JVP Action announced an upcoming webinar with several co-sponsors, featuring well-known activists purportedly speaking on “Dismantling anti-Semitism, Winning Justice.” None of the panelists are scholars of anti-Semitism; all are guilty of spreading it.

There is an important characteristic in Judaism called hakaras ha’tov, being grateful. Every Yid must develop an awareness and a mindset that recognizes all the good that one receives and appropriately thank the Giver/giver. One of the ways in which we demonstrate our thanks to Hashem is by reciting Psalm 100 – Mizmor L’Sodah – in our weekday morning prayer service.

This past Sunday, November 15, the Chazaq Organization held an enormously successful face-covering distribution in front of Rosenblum’s Supermarket on Lefferts Boulevard in Kew Gardens. Evelin Baron, a longtime community resident and activist, reached out to Chazaq’s CEO, Rabbi Yaniv Meirov, at a previous mask distribution, encouraging a similar program for her community.
