Former four-term U.S. Congressman and 2022 New York Gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin has officially endorsed Thomas P. Sullivan for the New York State Assembly, District 23. Countless New Yorkers are fleeing this state because of rising crime and declining quality of life. One-party rule in Albany has been an unmitigated disaster for the law-abiding citizens of New York. I am proud to endorse fellow Army Veteran Tom Sullivan for New York State Assembly District 23,” said Zeldin.
Lee Zeldin served New York’s 1st Congressional District from 2015 to 2023 and represented New York’s 3rd District in the State Senate from 2011 to 2014. A Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve. Zeldin was the Republican and Conservative nominee for Governor in 2022, securing nearly 47% of the vote—the highest percentage for a Republican Gubernatorial nominee since 2002 and the most votes for any Republican statewide since 1970.
Responding to the endorsement, Sullivan remarked, “It is an honor to receive backing from Lee Zeldin. We share a unified vision for New York—a State where families feel safe and businesses flourish. Together, we can restore balance and prosperity to our great state.”
