In its ongoing efforts to provide klal yisroel with inspiring and meaningful Torah programming, Agra D’Pirka introduces its inaugural pre-Yomim Nora’im shiurim to be held at two of its flagship locations. According to Agra D’Pirka founder R’Ezra Klein, the new program will fill a void. “It’s a dramatic departure from what we’ve done in the past,” he says. “We are entering areas where we see a need, where we can bring our reputation for excellence in providing outstanding shiurim to the Torah public during major high points of the calendar year.”
Agra D’Pirka is an organized morning learning program geared towards local professionals, business owners, college students, retirees, and anyone else who wishes to increase his limud haTorah. The program runs from 9:30 to 11:30 AM with an impressive roster of maggidei shiur at each of its many locations.
The inaugural pre-Yomim Nora’im programs are scheduled in the evenings, making them more accessible to the community at large. Agra D’Pirka has prepared an outstanding line-up of choshuva maggidei shiur to address the klal . In Queens, the shiurim will be held on Motzei Shabbos September 21st before Selichos at Khal Nachlas Yitzchok, located at 141-43 73rd Avenue. Rav Aharon Kahn will be speaking at 10:30 PM followed by Rav Noach Isaac Oelbaum at 11:30 PM.
In Flatbush, the pre-Yomim Nora’im program will be held on Sunday evening, September 22nd at Knesses Bais Avigdor, located at 1720 Avenue J. Rav Kahn will be giving the shiur at 8:00 PM followed by Rav Elya Brudny who will speak at 8:45 PM and Rav Avrohom Schorr at 9:15 PM. The ezras noshim will be open at both locations.
Those who are unable to attend the shiurim in person can join via livestream through Torah Anytime.com. Over the years, TorahAnytime has been providing an invaluable service with its videotaped shiurim which can be enjoyed by Jews all over the world. When Agra D’Pirka launched its pre-Pesach shiurim last Spring, an estimated 7,000 viewers watched the live shiurim at home. Even more are expected to join during this upcoming event.
All of the maggidei shiur at the pre-Yomim Nora’im programs will be addressing divrei hisorerus in anticipation of Rosh Hashana and the upcoming Yomim Nora’im. At this most awe inspiring time of the year, klal yisroel prepares for the Yom Hadin, and focuses on teshuva and tefillah. But it’s easy to become distracted with everyday life. Chizuk and guidance are sorely needed. Agra d’Pirka’s upcoming pre-Yomim Nora’im program will offer the proper hadracha to achieve spiritual growth. It’s an opportunity not to be missed.
As we come closer to the yomim nora’im, it’s time to prepare. Are you ready?
