In a recent meeting focused on the continued growth and impact of Chaverim of Queens and Great Neck, local leaders and community representatives came together to discuss the organization’s expanding role and explore ways to strengthen its operations and reach.

Chaverim of Queens—dedicated in memory of Mr. Jack Friedman—currently responds to an impressive 300 to 350 calls each month, with a significant portion originating from the Kew Gardens Hills area. Now in its 17th year, the organization continues to be a pillar of support across Queens and the Village of Great Neck. The conversation focused on how Chaverim can access additional resources to further enhance its efficiency, expand its services, and better meet the needs of the communities it serves.

Among those in attendance were Eli Love, Dispatcher Coordinator; District 27 Assemblymember Sam Berger; Co-Founder Avigdor Cyperstein; and President Reb Aaron Cyperstein. Together, they explored collaborative opportunities and community partnerships that could empower Chaverim’s dedicated team of volunteers and improve its response capabilities.

Chaverim of Queens—friends you can count on—remains a vital resource for residents facing everyday automobile and household challenges. With the right support and continued investment, the organization is well-positioned to grow even stronger in its mission of helping others—one call at a time.
