Queens is getting ready to light up the night as the annual Chanukah celebration returns to Cunningham Park for its seventh straight year — and organizers say this will be the biggest one yet.
What began as a small community gathering has grown into one of New York’s premier Jewish events, attracting thousands and featuring some of the top names in Jewish music. Over the years, the stage has spotlighted major performers including Gad Elbaz, Yoni Z, Nissim Black and more. This year, the tradition continues with one of the greatest superstars in Jewish music: *Benny Friedman*, headlining the 2025 celebration.
The event will take place this Sunday, December 14th at 4:30 PM at Cunningham Park. Attendees can expect a packed program featuring a major fireworks show, free giveaways and merch, and high-energy entertainment that promises to keep spirits warm no matter the temperature.
To add to the excitement, guests will have the chance to win big prizes — including an iPad, Apple Watch, and NY Knicks tickets.
Parking has been arranged for maximum convenience: ample parking is available at the Union Turnpike entrance, with an overflow lot accessible from Francis Lewis Blvd once the main lot fills.
Hosted by many community organizations and all major Queens schools, the celebration is poised to be the largest Chanukah party in New York City.
Organizers are encouraging families and friends from across the borough to come, join the festivity, and kickstart Chanukah with unmatched energy and unity.
