At a special seudas yahrtzeit marking the 10th yahrtzeit of HaRav Yehudah Mordechai Krause zt”l, held at Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim, family members, talmidim, colleagues, and admirers gathered to honor the memory of a beloved Rosh HaYeshivah whose influence continues to be felt throughout the Torah world. Rav Krause served as a Rosh HaYeshivah of Ohr Hachaim for more than three decades, guiding and shaping generations of bnei Torah.
A noted talmid chacham and marbitz Torah, the Rav was a distinguished student of Rav Binyomin Paler zt”l and Rav Berel Soloveitchik zt”l of Brisk. He was renowned for his broad Torah knowledge, clarity in learning, and deep devotion to his talmidim.
The keynote address was delivered by the Novominsker Rebbe, who reflected on Rav Krause zt”l’s lifelong dedication to limud haTorah and the lasting impact of Torah educators who devote themselves entirely to their students. Guests were reminded of the Rav’s warmth, humility, and genuine concern for every individual—qualities that made Rav Krause not only a respected Rosh HaYeshivah but also a trusted mentor and guide. The evening served as a moving reminder that a decade after the Rav’s petirah, the Torah, values, and inspiration that Rav Krause imparted continue to illuminate the lives of countless talmidim and their families.
