The Margaret Tietz Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has always been fortunate to maintain wonderful community partnerships. These associations are especially important during difficult times.
Once again, Purim at Margaret Tietz was made more freilich with the help of Mrs. Yael Schreiber and the superb children at the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates, who created the most cheerful mishloach manos for our residents. The boxes were hand-decorated and brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Five Towns resident Israel Root, along with the dedicated girls from the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls (SKA), sent bags jam-packed with goodies. Margaret Tietz is proud to have such special friends in the community.
Rabbi Yisroel Peikes of the Rabbinical Seminary of America - Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens read the Megillah, which was much appreciated by the Margaret Tietz residents. The facility looks forward to next year when the Purim celebrations will include many of the residents’ families and their spirited children and grandchildren.
