As the year winds to a close, Central students are joyfully sharing the products of their imaginations with the wider world. Last week on Wednesday, Central’s ACE Team 40 concluded a spectacular year by presenting their design for a nearly two-million-square-foot water park and hotel site in Chenango County at the General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen in Manhattan.
Freshmen Shoshana Fisher, Ariella Gelbert, Penina Heimowitz, Dara Khaimov, and sophomore Leah Hersh had many opportunities during the year to work closely with alumna Eden Takhalov (’14) on budget and construction management and on structural engineering and design with alumna Avigayil Grajower (’17). On Tuesday, our Poetry Team competed at the final Yeshiva League Poetry Slam of the year. Junior Rina Shamilov took first runner-up for Best Poet, and senior Hannah Koffsky won Best Free Verse. We are so proud of the hard work and creativity of all our students!
