Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld zt”l had a tremendous impact on bringing the Queens-based Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to the Orthodox Jewish market. Residents in Kew Gardens Hills have been on edge for a week after a man said to be in his upper forties wearing work apparel held a sign at the Main Street and Jewel Avenue bus stop which read: "Jews pay police to murder children." The signage then goes on to list alleged proof. The man first appeared on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 13, shortly before 1 p.m. and returned at a similar time a week later. While the individual is not committing a crime, residents should use their judgement to avoid a confrontation that may have an undesirable outcome.

Still, Rav Yitzchok is best known as the eldest son-in-law and close confidant of the Sar HaTorah, Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita.
