Last Monday evening, the Jewish Heritage Center (JHC) hosted its much-anticipated annual dinner, marking 36 years of incredible growth. The night was filled with inspiration, unity, and profound gratitude, as attendees came together to express their appreciation and support for all the JHC has done for the community as a whole, and for each individual personally.

Former four-term U.S. Congressman and 2022 New York Gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin has officially endorsed Thomas P. Sullivan for the New York State Assembly, District 23. Citing Sullivan’s leadership and service, Zeldin expressed strong support for Sullivan’s campaign amid challenging times for the state.

Over the course of 20 years, there have been many milestones at Emet Outreach. Two weeks ago, the organization held their largest Charidy campaign to date and were successful in raising over 1.4 million dollars. “We are grateful. This would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our devoted students, alumni, community partners, family, and friends,” said Rabbi Akiva Rutenberg, Emet Co-Founder & CEO. “Baruch Hashem, the funds raised will enable our team to continue to reach more unaffiliated college students, young adults, and young couples with the beauty of Torah and Mitzvot.”

Yachad New York members recently enjoyed a wonderful time at the annual “Bowling Across the Region” event, bringing together participants and community members from various New York regions for a fun bowling playoff.

The Chazaq Annual Carnival held this past Sunday at Lander College for Men in Kew Gardens Hills was a spectacular success, attracting over 1,500 people who came together to enjoy a day of family fun and community spirit.

What is more fun than chopping and dicing together? Mixing and mingling, of course – as connections are being created! YUConnects brought the frum singles community together for an engaging evening on June 19 at the Young Israel of Woodmere, featuring a “Chopped” competition led by the renowned chef Naomi Nachman. Singles from various backgrounds had the opportunity to meet and enjoy a dynamic and interactive experience that combined culinary creativity with social networking.
