On Wednesday evening, the HALB fifth-grade choir sang beautiful and meaningful songs at the community Yom HaShoah program at Congregation Beth Sholom. They then had the opportunity to stay and listen to Mr. Paul Gross tell his story about surviving the Holocaust.
The following day in school, the middle school boys and girls heard from Mrs. Pearl Field. She shared her story of how she survived the Holocaust through courage, resilience, and strength. Students had the opportunity to speak with her individually at the end, which left a lasting impression on them.
