At YSZ HS for Girls, we commemorated two significant days of reflection and celebration. On Yom HaZikaron, the girls watched a powerful and emotional video depicting the lives of chayalim in the aftermath of October 7. The program was both moving and meaningful: an opportunity to honor those we’ve lost and express deep gratitude to the soldiers who continue to fight for the Jewish nation.

For Yom HaAtzmaut, the school’s program focused on the theme of Mi K’amcha Yisrael – celebrating the beauty and strength of being part of the Jewish people. The girls walked through a captivating, museum-style exhibit filled with images and reflections that highlighted different aspects of our nation: its land, its people, and the pride points that unite us. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate what it means to belong to am Yisrael – especially significant as we prepare to send off our seniors to Israel next week.
