Rambam Mesivta students have 28 clubs to choose from during club hour, with options ranging from sports and board games to music, technology, and emergency medical training.
Students can join Knee Hockey, Chess, Scrabble, Podcast Club, D&D, Sign Language, and EMT Club, among others. Rambam Band gives students an opportunity to play music together, while Genius Math Games with Mr. Ganeles offers challenges for those who enjoy mathematical thinking.
In the STEM Club, led by junior David Rabinow, students are preparing to build a robotic hand using 3D-printed parts. At the first meeting, Rabinow welcomed members and introduced the project, explaining how coding and 3D modeling would come together in the finished hand.
Members will learn to design and print components, write code, and assemble the hand. The project will also require troubleshooting. When a part does not fit or the hand does not respond as expected, students will work together to identify the problem and make adjustments.
Club hour gives students a regular opportunity to pursue interests outside their classes and work with peers from other grades. With 28 options available, students can develop an existing hobby or try something unfamiliar.
