The 8th grade at Bnos Malka has embarked on a meaningful and inspirational journey this year. The students are working with Names, Not Numbers INC©: an interactive, multi-media Holocaust project created by educator, Tova Fish-Rosenberg.  During the course of the year, the students will learn the skills to interview, video, and create a documentary detailing the life of a Holocaust survivor.  Most recently, the girls participated in a workshop run by noted journalist Mr. Jeff Salgo to learn interview techniques necessary to create their documentary. Mr. Salgo worked for 35 years with CBS News as an associate director and producer and has lectured extensively on journalism. After sharing his history, expertise, and tips, Mr. Salgo had the students role play an interview to truly give them exposure to the work that they will be doing. This is but one piece in the training the girls will be receiving in this unbelievable undertaking.
