While the world wondered about the far-reaching consequences of Election Day, the children of Lev Chana spent the day enjoying learning about what a president does and what they would like to do if they were president. Flights on Air Force One, making speeches, helping the poor, passing laws, being fair, were just a few of the ideas they came up with.
The most important lesson the children came away with was that the choices they make can impact what the outcome will be. Their vote has significance. They voted last Tuesday, just like their parents, but they voted on more important and relevant matters than the leader of the United States! They voted on what cereal to eat for snack, what games to play, what book to hear first, all results teaching them that they have a choice and that their voice matters.
