The month of Adar is always an exciting time of the year for both children and adults. Every year, the Adar ruach at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe is amazing.
Starting with the Rosh Chodesh Adar treats and continuing with the many masquerades and mesibos, it is a very happy time in school. An annual highlight of the excitement is the Pre-Purim breakfast on a Sunday morning before Purim. The kindergarten through third grade boys had a Pre-Purim breakfast together with their fathers and grandfathers. This year’s magic theme, complemented by the interesting and varied costumes worn by the boys and even some fathers and grandfathers, created a sea of color in the packed Ner Mordechai ballroom. The morning began with a beautifully catered hot breakfast. Then, the boys were amazed by the amazing magic and juggling of The Nussi Show. Afterwards, Best Costume was awarded to Yisroel Max, and Rabbi Bookson picked winners for each grade’s raffle. An added addition to this year’s breakfast was the drawing of the Yeshiva’s Grand Raffle and Mini-Chinese Auction. Thank you to the breakfast head, Mrs. Tova Machlis, for chairing the event, and to all the parent and alumni volunteers for assisting in setting up and running the program.
The week continued with a Purim mesibah for grades four through eight on Thursday. The talmidim came to the festivities in costume and enjoyed music and dancing by Yossi Newman. On the way back to class, the boys were treated to hamantash doughnuts and chocolate milk. A freilichen Purim to all!
