Three weeks ago, President Biden suffered one of the most disastrous public relations days of any president in history. Special Counsel Robert Hur released a report explaining why charges for mishandling classified documents would not be brought against the President. The report noted that the 81-year’s memory was “hazy,” “faulty,” “poor,” and had “significant limitations.” The President was also unable to recall when his own son, Beau, tragically passed away. All in all, President Biden will not be charged with a crime because the special counsel did not believe that a jury would find Biden to be in his full mental capacity, and therefore, a conviction would be highly unlikely.

To combat this disastrous report, Biden held an equally disastrous press conference, where in an attempt to prove how cognizant he is, he referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the President of Mexico. This would normally not be such a noteworthy flub, given the myriad of other battles Biden has had with the English language - and directions, and gravity - but he did it during a press conference that was supposed to show us that he really is with the times.

However, we wouldn’t know the extent of just how disastrous this press conference was until just last week. That was when it was revealed that during that press conference, in an attempt to defend himself from the fact that he could not recall the date of his son’s death, Biden lied to the American people. Biden looked the press over, stated, “I know there’s some attention paid to some language in the report about my recollection of events — it was even referenced that I don’t remember when my son died. How in the [expletive] dare he raise that? Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it wasn’t any of their [expletive] business.”

The reason these three sentences were so damaging to the President was because just one week later, it was revealed that Hur never asked any question about Beau Biden. It was, in fact, the President who volunteered the information when talking about events in his life that were happening in his life in 2017. (Beau Biden died in 2015.) In these three sentences, Joe Biden lied so badly, and tried to cover up the lie so terribly, that he inadvertently revealed three terribly damaging things about his own character.

Firstly, he brings up Beau’s death every chance he gets. Until now, we had only thought that he brings up Beau’s death when he’s trying to commiserate with others who have faced extreme loss. The President has been known to cite the death of his son when comforting those who lost loved ones in the military despite Beau dying of cancer, not his military service. However, this report shows that he doesn’t only use this personal tragedy to commiserate. He uses it whenever he wants. And it takes a special type of human to use the tragic loss of his son to gain sympathy points during a federal investigation that took place two years after the fact.

Secondly, he lied about who brought it up. Or maybe he forgot. So either he was a dog-faced liar, or he was too senile to recall the actual conversation. Either way, that does not look good for someone looking to be President. But more than that, he actually convinced himself that Hur brought it up. In his mind, everyone cares about Beau’s death as much as he does. Not that we should not care about the untimely death of a person, who by all accounts, was a very decent human being, but nobody cares as much about him as his own father, and certainly not someone investigating his father for a crime that has nothing to do with his own son. So even if we give the President the benefit of the doubt - that he was lucid enough to recall what actually happened - he still lied about who brought up the conversation about Beau to begin with. And that just tells us that Biden loves to bring up his personal tragedy any way he can, as if it excuses his actions.

Lastly, he never even denies not being able to recall the year Beau passed. The allegation was that he could not recall the year Beau died. He never denied it. He just became incredulous that someone would even bring it up - despite the fact that it was he who brought it up. And the irony of telling us that “it wasn’t any of their [expletive] business” is palpable. Of course it wasn’t any of their business! That’s why they didn’t ask. Nobody ever asks. President Biden volunteers the information. And then he turns around and tells us that the information he shared willingly, without prompting, is none of our business. Well then, Mr. President, I suggest you stop telling us about it every chance you get.

This man has repeatedly shown us that he has no character, no capacity to lead, and a decreasing ability to function as he used to. It is impossible to see how he could lead the country for another four years.
