Onomatopoeia
Dear Editor:
Ahh! The sweet sounds and smells of summer: the sizzling barbecue, tweeting birds, and whirring air conditioners. These sounds are the onomatopoeia of summer. (I always wanted to use that word.)
Wake up! How about the sizzling temperatures? Remember when it was January, and you were jealous of your Floridian friends who complained that it was 85 while you shivered in 32-degree temperatures? Well, now besides the Sunshine State and KGH sharing the first two letters of their name (Fl for Flushing), we share the oppressive heat.
“Go outside,” you might suggest. Remember that expensive deck that would add tremendous value to your home? How about the patio umbrella and chairs that you lugged home from The Home Depot? From what I recall, I spent a total of two days on my deck last summer, and it wasn’t as steamy as it is this summer. The only ones enjoying my deck are the lazy gray cat and various squirrels. Of course, the gnats are multiplying by the hundreds, and the mosquitoes are enjoying my arm’s juicy skin.
You might suggest leaving the kitchen and enjoying the outdoor grill. Well, that’s one thing they should teach in kallah class. I’ve owned two grills in my life, each less than $50, and each lasting fewer than two months. Therefore, my two left hands are of no help in that department.
Enjoy the summer heat! As the day is long, you’ll soon be complaining about the chill in the air.

No 25th Amendment for Joe?
Dear Editor:
The good thing about the Presidential debate being over is that we can all finally agree on one thing: Joe Biden is not and has not been running this country. There is no way the guy on the debate stage whom aides tried to convince us was suffering from a cold but neglected to mention also mid-stage dementia, “Resting 25th Amendment Face” and by the end of the night, rigor mortis, has been running the country. Of course, that re-opens the debate of who exactly is running this country.
The headlines generated over Biden’s ridiculous debate performance focused in on his “We Beat Medicare” line and his justification for abortion due to lots of young women being raped by their in-laws, sisters, and brothers. Perhaps this was intentional, to bury the lead story – namely, the media themselves. Yes, the fake news, mainstream media clowns on CNN and MSNBC, not unlike some writers in this publication, who for years been selling us their fantasies on the merits of the Biden presidency, received their new marching orders from the ruling class in Washington: Joe needs to go. Apparently, the ruling class lost confidence in Joe Bi-Done and now they are in a panic as they look for his replacement.
Similar to the phony narrative on the origins of Covid, the Covid vaccine, and the Hunter laptop, anyone who deviated from the mainstream media narrative that Joe Biden was actually running the country was deemed a dangerous “conspiracy theorist.” Remember what we were told about the shifting stories re: the vaccine and masking? We were told the narrative never shifted; it was just that the science had changed. Well, it appears we are at another watershed, science-changing moment here, too, because pre-debate, the mainstream media was telling us how robust and mentally sharp Biden was, while the post-debate mainstream media conversation sounded more like a shiv’ah house.
The same, phony mainstream media that for years tried to invoke the 25th Amendment on the ever-capable Trump, are not curious in the least as to why the 25th Amendment has not been invoked for this elderly, senile, doddering old coot, who will go down as the worst and most corrupt president in this country’s history.

Joe Must Go
Dear Editor:
Yaakov Ribner spent nearly 850 words last week attempting to convince us that Donald Trump is just as cognitively impaired as Joe Biden is. Then Joe Biden shuffled out on stage on Wednesday evening looking and sounding like he had one foot in the grave, and in less than a minute Ribner’s nonsensical fairy tale of Biden’s capabilities blew up.
Putting aside the numerous mental meltdowns, the “by the way” glitch, a phrase that Biden used an astounding 32 times during the debate, and his conflating illegal immigration with abortion, Biden did not appear to know that he was on a split screen most of the night as he was staring off into the abyss. Having Dr. Jill run up to the stage so she could gingerly coax him off the stage that was only three steps wasn’t a great look either. Dr. Jill’s praising Joe afterward in front of a partisan crowd with “Joey, you answered all the questions” was reminiscent of the praise I would give my three-year-old when she comes home with a finger painting from nursery. Notwithstanding Ribner’s approbation on another four years for Biden, he appears to be done.
Personally, I was hoping Biden would do better, as he will now undoubtedly be replaced, most likely by Michelle Obama who has a far better shot at defeating Trump, given she has no political record to attack, will benefit from any comparisons to the decrepit Biden, and will be the recipient of a months’ long pre-election honeymoon from the sycophantic media.

Netanyahu’s Complaint Is 100 Percent Warranted!
Dear Editor:
In last week’s QJL, Warren Hecht criticized Benjamin Netanyahu for complaining about the US slow-walking military arms to Israel. His criticism stems from the timing of the complaint, and he ludicrously compares it to Chuck Schumer calling for the resignation of the democratically elected Netanyahu in March of this year. He buttresses his argument by offering quotes from lying White House officials basically calling Netanyahu delusional for complaining about the slowdown.
There is a laundry list of problems with writing a column like this. First, relying on White House statements to bolster your thesis is absurd on its face. This White House lies about everything from inflation to immigration to how no one in the White House can keep up with Biden behind closed doors because he’s sharp as a whip. So, in a contest of who’s probably lying between White House officials and pretty much anyone else, I’ll go with the White House officials.
Second, even a cursory review of the situation would reveal that Netanyahu’s complaints are valid. Let me explain. Last month, Politico reported that an order by Israel for Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) – converter kits that turn “dumb” bombs into “smart” bombs – was being held up “for review.” The JDAMs, Politico further reported, are but one of multiple sales that the State Department is “reviewing.”
The Biden administration wants us to believe that when they arbitrarily place an arms shipment bound for Israel “under review,” they are following routine procedures rather than denying weapons to Israel. One should be aware, though, that when Biden deems a transaction to be a “national security priority,” magically all the red tape disappears, and the weapons go out the door to their intended destination. The beauty of the State Department reviews is it gives the Biden administration plausible deniability and the freedom to depict Netanyahu as delusional for complaining about the holdup.
Third, Mr. Hecht appears to misunderstand the dynamics of the war against Hamas and the damage the Biden administration has done that is being paid for with the blood of our fellow Jews fighting in the IDF. Had the Biden administration not held up military aid and done everything within their power to stymie Israeli efforts to destroy Hamas, this war would likely be over already. By playing politics and slow-walking military weapons, the Biden administration has needlessly prolonged this war.
Lastly, it appears that Mr. Hecht, like many Americans, is unfamiliar with the reputation Netanyahu has in Israel and the impact his removal would have on this war against Hamas. Unlike in the US where Netanyahu is widely viewed as hawkish and aggressive, in Israel he’s perceived as much more dove-ish and has received heavy criticism for going too soft on Hamas and not doing enough to bring the Jewish hostages home. His removal from office would have zero effect in this war effort vs. Hamas, as almost all Israelis in the current post October 7 mindset understand that Hamas needs to be wiped out.
Mr. Hecht’s strawman argument comparing the timing of Netanyahu’s remarks to Schumer’s disgusting tirade in March simply does not hold water when one examines all the facts of the current situation.

Did We Really Win?
Dear Editor:
In a strange way, the Democrats are the winners of this debate. Of course, the puppet master, Obama, together with Vice President Kamala, Hilary Clinton, etc., all knew that President Biden is mentally incompetent. But Biden and the Democratic Party were allowing Obama to pull the strings – so the plot to re-elect Biden was succeeding. Biden and his team worked hard to avoid a debate, but the public wouldn’t have it. Therefore, Biden offered to debate Trump under ridiculous conditions (CNN moderators, no audience, microphones being silenced), which they were certain Trump would not accept. But Trump accepted! Sixteen men drilling and practicing with Biden for over a week did not prevent Biden from presenting as visibly feeble and disoriented, often spewing unintelligible or irrelevant statistics. The most ardent defenders of Biden’s mental capacity pre-debate are now questioning how he can continue leading the country for the next five months until the election.
One thing the American people hopefully did see is that the Democratic Party and all those in the White House, as well as the media that they control, cannot be trusted or believed. They all constantly insisted that President Biden has all his faculties and is in total control. This was an outright and deliberate deception of the truth to the American public. It is now obvious to America as well as to the entire world, including our adversaries, that this has been a farce. It is obvious why President Chi, the Ayatollah, and Putin, all have been backing Biden. They knew the truth: They are afraid of Trump but not of a severely diminished, manipulatable, over-the-hill, “world leader.”
So yes, exposing the truth showed Trump as the absolute winner. But…
Before the debate, even if some Democrats wanted to replace Biden, they couldn’t unless Biden agreed to step down, which he refused to do. And if he did step down, the Democrats would have had to put up the next most likely candidate, VP Kamala Harris, whose ratings are as bad or worse than Biden’s; yet, her credentials as a Black and a woman would anger many voters if she were overlooked. Following the horrific performance by President Biden at the debate, there is a consensus that a new candidate is needed, and the Democratic Party is now scrambling to find a new candidate.
Trump presented amazingly against Biden. Trump is a fearless debater and has a good record to stand on. But despite the fact that Trump has many ardent supporters, there are many who fervently dislike his cocky, self-aggrandizing attitude.
Now, the Democrats can nobly force Biden to withdraw while keeping Kamala as the vice president. They can choose a younger, dynamic candidate. Fresh blood appeals to voters. Republicans would have fared better, debating and exposing Biden’s weakness after Biden was nominated as the Democratic candidate.
Now that Trump unequivocally won the debate, Trump and the Republicans had better heed the words of Nikki Haley: “Republicans, get your guard up.”

Dear Editor:
For the second week in a row, a liberal-leaning letter-writer to the QJL is made out to look foolish after real events play out the week after their letters were published.
Two weeks ago, as I pointed out last week, Mr. Pecoraro thought Hunter Biden would fight his Second Amendment case successfully, only to be disappointed later that week when the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment is not absolute and can be limited. This past week, it is Mr. Ribner. He went on and on waxing poetic about how great and wonderful President Biden is, taking the Democratic Party talking point about President Trump’s cognitive ability and running with it.
The liberals will all focus on President Trump’s lies and President Trump may have lied Thursday night, but the one truth he told was he is definitely a better golfer than Joe Biden! The fact of the matter is that Trump’s border and economy were both better than Joe Biden’s. So, in reality, President Biden lied more often, which, if anyone actually listens to him regularly knows, is his MO.
That debate performance Thursday night proved that the Democratic Party media from the beginning was pulling a ruse greater than the one Al Capone pulled on Geraldo Rivera: from hiding him in his basement during the 2020 campaign to keeping him away from the real media, no news conferences, and very few interviews. It’s no wonder Attorney General Garland took the figurative bullet and was held in contempt of Congress by not revealing the audio of the interview Mr. Hur did of President Biden regarding his taking of classified documents – a felony for violating the Espionage Act.
The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, and their ilk are apoplectic because their secret is out. Joe Biden is not capable to being President. It is not only this country that knows this, but our enemies see it, too. This is now a national security issue. The blame is squarely on Jill Biden. Her ego is too big and she is very selfish. She craves the power and the pomp and circumstance that comes with it.
Now, the Democratic Party is scrambling to figure out what to do. They can’t continue this Presidential campaign with Joe Biden. Vice President Harris polls worse than Joe Biden does. She was the DEI candidate. How does the party replace her off the ticket? That’s a bad look for the Party of Woke.
