Job Listing

Dear Editor:

Wanted: a person (preferably male) age 35 and up for a high-level federal job. Hours: 10-4 Monday-Thursday and no calls after 8 p.m. Extended weekends and federal, religious, and no alternate side of the street parking days off.

Wardrobe and meals provided as well as a $400,000 stipend. A security detail will hopefully follow you and your close family members (even your mother-in-law). You will reside rent-free in a large white home. Doctors will come to you, so there is no need to schlep to their offices.

Requirements: You must be able to read from a teleprompter or note cards. Therefore, glasses or contacts are probably necessary, but no bifocals. You must be able to continually smile at crowds, so make sure you have your implants in before you apply for the job. You must have a steady right hand to shake thousands of strangers’ hands. Also, make sure you have no knee or foot problems, as you will constantly be going up and down flights of stairs. Make sure you don’t stammer or have a lisp (like in Shibolet). It would be advantageous to speak a foreign language (not English), but not necessary.

You don’t have to have children who give you nachas or who even speak to you (re: Reagan kids). You have to have a photogenic wife (not an Eleanor Roosevelt or Mamie Eisenhower type) and seem to get along with her. You should come from humble beginnings and always quote what your parents taught you.

Good luck! The job begins in approximately six months and make sure you have a lot of friends!

Dear Editor:

The Party that’s all about “Defending Democracy” rigged two primaries in a row – in 2016 and 2020 – against Bernie Sanders. Then, in 2024, they roll with a corpse as their Presidential candidate, and they forbid anyone (Dean Phillips, RFK Jr.) from challenging the corpse; and then, when their gaslighting of the public about physical/mental well-being of the corpse is no longer viable, they toss him aside and proceed to rig a third straight primary by nominating a candidate whom no one was able or allowed to vote for. Just making sure everyone understands what “Defending Democracy” in 2024 means.

Why Doesn’t Anyone Ever Get Fired?

Dear Editor:

While Warren Hecht tries to figure out whether Matthew Crooks’ attempted assassination of Donald Trump was done out of hate or love, whether he was a registered Republican, a Democratic supporter, or both, and whether getting shot helps Donald Trump politically, he misframes the issue and misses the larger question: Why has no one been fired yet for this malfeasance of epic proportions? The answer to this perplexing issue was actually uttered by Trump at the debate three weeks ago. Trump called out Biden for not firing even one person for what was possibly the “single most embarrassing moment in the history of our country,” the Afghanistan withdrawal. If no one got fired for that debacle, and Secretary Mayorkas keeps his job despite our Southern border being open to tens of millions of illegal immigrants the last three and a half years, why would Biden let a little thing like a bullet to his political enemy’s face get in the way of our DEI Director of Secret Service, Karen Cheatle, keeping her job?

Trying to figure out why the most incompetent President in our country’s history does not fire his most incompetent employees is an exercise in futility. Biden is obviously incapacitated, incapable of making any meaningful decisions beyond chocolate or vanilla ice cream for his afternoon snack. Now that it appears our DEI Vice President Kamala Harris is the heir apparent, she should be held to account for her role in covering up Biden’s condition from the American people. If Biden is too senile to run for re-election, why is he in charge of our nuclear codes for another six months? Kamala should be asked why she won’t raise the 25th Amendment and do what’s obviously in the best interest of our country: Putting Biden out to pasture, NOW!

The End Of The Biden Campaign

Dear Editor:

I don’t wish harm on anyone, but there is something comical about having the man who tried to foist an experimental medical procedure on 350 million people, injecting himself five times with said experimental medical procedure and then getting the condition he thought he vaccinated himself against. Twice.

Joe Biden is a career liar, so I’m sure he had no qualms spewing out his nonsensical “pandemic of the unvaccinated” line in blaming the pandemic on those who refused to roll up their sleeves for the experimental shot that has harmed numerous people. Mercifully, it appears the minor case of Covid that Biden contracted will not be his demise, though his Presidential campaign is done. I suggest the coroner’s report on his campaign should be listed as a death with Covid, not from Covid.

Dear Editor:

Moshe Hill predictably reacted to the assassination attempt on former President Trump by blaming Democrats for their heated rhetoric. One thing to note is that, as of this writing, there has been little revealed regarding the shooter’s motive. We know he was a registered Republican, and there has been some indication that he was not inspired by a particular ideology but just chose the most available high-profile target. It’s also interesting that many of the types of things that have been said about Trump that Mr. Hill is taking issue with have also been said by Trump’s own VP pick! But I’m sure J.D. Vance changed his mind when, after careful consideration, he genuinely realized that none of those things are true, and not because he cravenly realized that it would be necessary to advance his career and gain power.

As for Mr. Hill’s argument that it’s contradictory for Democrats to call Trump a threat to democracy and to also strongly condemn the attempt to assassinate him, I disagree. Not only is it very easy to understand, it’s even logical. Trump lied about the last election in order to justify a series of schemes to overturn it, and as a last-ditch effort to stop its certification he (in a charitable interpretation) inspired a violent mob to storm the Capitol and chant to hang Mike Pence, all while he sat back enjoying it and refusing pleas to diffuse the situation. Meanwhile, he continues to repeat those lies and shows no remorse, and he has made it clear that he would see any future loss as illegitimate. It’s easy to see why someone would see putting him back in power as a threat to democracy, but it’s consistent to reject any further violence as a similar threat.

Not surprisingly, Mr. Hill sees this as a one-way street, as he conveniently ignores that Trump has a long history of using the type of language that he’s criticizing the Democrats for, and in many ways has set the tone for the current political atmosphere. Beyond all the name calling, he said a few weeks ago, in a typical remark, that “Biden is a threat to democracy, a threat to the survival and existence of our country itself.” And in contrast to how Democrats acted after the assassination attempt, Trump mocked Nancy Pelosi after her husband was seriously hurt by a hammer wielding assailant who was looking for her. So, it should have surprised no one that a promised “new tone” after the attempt on his life lasted only for approximately a quarter of the way through his rambling and interminable convention speech.

But what about Mr. Hill himself? He clearly thinks the rhetoric from Democrats is beyond the pale, and has said on multiple occasions that based on how the Left feels about Trump you would expect them to try to cheat at the election. But Mr. Hill has continuously used overheated rhetoric towards Biden and the Democrats. He has called Biden “the Authoritarian of the United States” and “the most corrupt President in modern American history,” among other things. And he has devoted multiple columns to the premise that all of the things that the Left says about Trump is actually true of Biden. Think about that. He says that such rhetoric is unacceptable, and that if you believe it, you can be expected to cheat and to even condone violence towards your opponent – but oh, by the way, that’s how he feels about the other side. If you take his words at face value, does he expect Republicans to cheat at the election? Would he cheer if Biden is assassinated? At best, he just lacks self-awareness. At worst, he’s explained his philosophy. Based on what he believes, anything is acceptable to make sure the Democrats lose and Trump returns to power, so a little hypocrisy should be expected. Just know that whenever he accuses the other side of something, it’s really a confession.

The Ascent And Descent Of Biden’s Presidency

Dear Editor:

Joe Biden was a Senator with a below-average IQ for four decades before Barack Obama decided he needed a politically moderate white person to be his running mate in order to win the Presidential election in 2008. Biden ran for President two times at that point, with two spectacular flameouts. Obama understood Biden was not the sharpest tool in the shed, and spending eight years with him in the White House only confirmed this.

It was widely reported that Obama discouraged Biden from running for President and threw his support behind Hillary Clinton in 2016. Biden decided to run for President again in 2020 and was about to flame out for a third time when suddenly, the Democratic mafia bosses that run our “Democracy” decided that Biden was the only viable candidate from the cast of crazies in the Democrat clown car and anointed him as the Chosen One by forcing all the other candidates besides Bernie Sanders out of the race and throwing their collective support behind Biden. That is how Biden became the nominee. How he became President may have involved some election day shenanigans, but he never would have even been in that position had the party bosses not put him there.

Now the party bosses have decided that Biden is no longer the winning horse and they are hitching their wagon to another horse that has yet to be named. Multiple media outlets reported that Biden is stewing in private about what he believes is a lack of loyalty by the mafia bosses that run the Democratic Party. If Biden had any class, he would have thanked the party bosses for getting an unqualified doofus like himself into the White House and retire to one of his three mansions, while receiving the round-the-clock nursing care he desperately needs.

Since Biden is a corrupt, power-hungry DC swamp creature who has surrounded himself with family members who are arguably even more contemptible than him, he, along with his family, went out kicking and screaming while complaining about the disloyalty of party bosses. Biden doesn’t understand that he was only a useful pawn for those behind the scenes who actually set policy and run the country, and once his usefulness (i.e., his perceived ability to win an election) ran out, it was inevitable that he would be thrown overboard.

Biden’s failures as President have been well documented, especially in this space, but his failings as a person sometimes go unnoticed. He is truly a kafoi tov, an ingrate and classless President for refusing to leave the stage well past his expiration date and repaying the people who installed him as President with an ugly fight to the finish.

Dear Editor:

Mr. Hecht, facts matter. You made up that heads will roll at the Secret Service. Nowhere, throughout this administration’s reign of terror, has anyone been held accountable for anything. There was a massive train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg was not fired. Joint Chiefs Milley nor Secretary Austin were fired after 13 soldiers were killed in the worst withdrawal in US history in Afghanistan. Secretary Blinken was not fired after Russia invaded Ukraine, October 7, or the mere fact that Iran is one-to-two weeks away from a nuclear bomb. Secretary Mayorkas has been impeached for basically opening our southern border to the entire world and he hasn’t been fired. Who got fired after cocaine was found in the White House? Where is your proof that Director Kimberly Cheatle will be fired?

I further question your comment that the right would riot had President Trump been killed. Again, where is your proof for that statement? It was not conservatives who left a trail of destruction, looting, and murder in the summer of 2020 after George Floyd. It is the Left that is threatening Jews on almost every college campus in the aftermath of October 7. Look at all the crime and murder going on in Chicago, Baltimore, and Oakland every weekend. Those are not Republican-run cities.

I watched MSNBC last week to see how they would cover the RNC convention. This is a media outlet for the Democratic Party, by the Democratic party. Even the former Republicans on the network are full-fledged Democrats now. Tuesday night, former RNC chair, now MSNBC political contributor, Michael Steele actually had the audacity to say on the air that President Trump wasn’t actually hit by a bullet, and that he should release all his medical records to prove otherwise. Wednesday, Joy Ried, someone who the network should have fired a long time ago for her hate and bigotry, said the same thing on her Instagram page. Then she outdoes herself by saying that President Biden’s bounce-back recovery from Covid is exactly the same as President Trump coming back from being shot. Is she for real? Then you have Alex Wagner and Rachel Maddow both essentially calling J.D. Vance a white supremacist. There aren’t journalists. It’s a propaganda operation.

Now President Biden is moving hard-Left to ingratiate himself with backers to save him from being removed as nominee for President for the Democrats in 2024. He has threatened to destroy the Supreme Court in his second term. He has also said he will push for an amendment to destroy Presidential immunity. And it is the Right that’s the insurrectionists? Should Biden be removed as Democratic candidate for President, it will be the Democrats who, once again, prove they are the threat to democracy. They will be alienating 14 million people who voted for President Biden in the primary.

The Ironic End To the Biden Presidency

Dear Editor:

Joe Biden’s policies have led to the most precipitous decline in the history of our country. He has caused catastrophic damage to the very fabric of this country.

From his DEI agenda to the bungled Afghanistan withdrawal, to inflation, to gas prices, to weaponizing law enforcement agencies for partisan purposes, to corrupt overseas dealings, to destabilizing the international scene, everything he touches turns to a giant, flaming trash heap. Putting aside his lack of a fully functional brain, which shockingly only 80 percent of the country thinks is disqualifying, any one of the aforementioned Biden-botch jobs should be enough to end his horrific Presidency. It is therefore extremely ironic that it is the attempted assassination of Donald Trump that is the cause of death of Biden’s presidency.

After the attempted assassination, Biden publicly stated that we needed to turn down the political rhetoric, and yet his entire campaign message to date was centered on how Donald Trump was a threat to democracy, complete with all the faux histrionics to sell the public on that very point. So, Biden backed himself into a Presidential-ending pickle: Either he violates his own pledge to dial down the rhetoric, or he’s left with no campaign message to sell the public on. The Democratic Party operatives know this, which is why we have seen everyone, including Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, and now apparently Obama either publicly or privately call for him to step down.

Hashem works in strange ways. Who could have predicted that the bullet that missed killing Trump by a quarter of an inch would be a fatal blow to Biden’s political career?
