While the world wondered about the far-reaching consequences of Election Day, the children of Lev Chana spent the day enjoying learning about what a president does and what they would like to do if they were president. Flights on Air Force One, making speeches, helping the poor, passing laws, being fair, were just a few of the ideas they came up with.

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens has earned a distinguished three-star rating – the top rating – from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures. The three-star rating, which denotes the highest category of quality, places NewYork-Presbyterian Queens among the elite for heart bypass surgery in the United States and Canada.

The HAFTR Early Childhood children walked into class last Monday and couldn’t believe their eyes! In honor of Parshas VaYeira, in the middle of their classrooms stood a four sided “tent.” They “dwelled” in Avraham Avinu’s tent for many activities and even held their maagal in the tent throughout the week. They davened, had meetings, learned the parshah, listened to stories, played with toys, and had lunches and snacks in the tent! The classes walked around the HAFTR campus and scouted out the various tents, and counted how many sides each tent had open.
