Whenever you hear “As a Jew…,” you know you’re going to hear some of the worst vitriol against Israel from that Jew. Last week, we saw New York City Comptroller Brad Lander – a candidate for Congressman in the 10th Congressional District and an early supporter of Zohran Mamdani – distinguish himself “as a Jew.”

Last week, chareidi yeshivah students took to the streets to oppose the change in status of the draft law affecting thousands of students currently enrolled in yeshivos. The government wants yeshivah men to serve their time in the army, and they are making it quite clear.

Someone I knew wrote a letter to a particular audience. The letter stated that although the writer is in the chareidi camp and normally does not participate in the Israel Day Parade, this year would be different.

Just a few weeks ago, I wrote an article titled “Still The Best,” in which I extolled President Trump as being the best president for Israel despite his four-lettered conversation with Bibi Netanyahu. I still maintain that today, but admittedly, it is a lot harder to express, given the Memorandum of Understanding just signed with Tehran.

Last week, it was reported that President Donald J. Trump had a heated phone call with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. In the phone call, Trump, referring to Israel’s continued incursion into Beirut, supposedly lost it with Bibi and said something like, “Are you ******* crazy? If not for me, you would be in jail! Now the whole world hates you.”
