Parshas Ki Seitzei contains many mitzvos that guide us in how to live with compassion, responsibility, and awareness of Hashem’s presence in every part of our lives.

The parshah teaches us: “Ki seitzei lamilchamah al oyvecha”—“When you go out to war against your enemies.” The Torah reminds us that every challenge we face requires strength, courage, and faith that Hashem is with us. These words have special meaning as we daven for the safety of our chayalim. We ask Hashem to protect them, strengthen them, watch over them in every place, and bring them home safely.

Parshas Ki Seitzei also teaches us the importance of caring for others. Through mitzvos such as returning lost objects, helping those in need, and showing sensitivity toward others, the Torah reminds us that every Yid carries a responsibility to act with kindness, dignity, and rachmanus.

The parshah tells us: “Lo tuchal lehitalem”—“You may not ignore it.” We are taught not to look away from another person’s struggle. Whether through an act of kindness, a word of encouragement, or a heartfelt tefilah, every effort to help another Yid brings more light into the world.

Ki Seitzei also reminds us of the power of remembering Hashem in our daily lives. Even in moments of difficulty and uncertainty, we strengthen our emunah and know that Hashem sees every challenge and hears every tefilah.

This is the koach of Tehillim. Dovid HaMelech gave Klal Yisrael the words to turn to Hashem in every situation—to ask for refuah, yeshuah, brachah, and protection. Every heartfelt perek of Tehillim and every sincere tefilah is precious before Hashem.

May our Tehillim and tefilos bring refuos, yeshuos, brachos, and protection for all of Klal Yisrael. May Hashem guard our chayalim, comfort those who are suffering, bring all those in danger to safety, and send the ultimate yeshuah with the coming of Mashiach and the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash, bimheirah b’yameinu, amen.
