The application period for the New York State 2022-23 Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes (SCAHC) grant program is now open and grant applications must be submitted by noon on January 31, 2023, to DCJS.

The OU/Teach Coalition Security Center offers an affordable, streamlined process for grant writing, application submissions, and grant reviews.

The gateway to grants is a prequalification at the time of application submission. There is also a security assessment or vulnerability self-assessment tool needed, as well as a Sexual Harassment Prevention Certification. A security assessment is needed for each facility/project that you will be applying for, including cybersecurity projects. This will be the basis of your grant application. All measures that you will be requesting funding for must be indicated on your site’s security assessment. If you have a security assessment that was done in the last three years, you can submit that. If not, complete the Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool.

Request a free DUNS number online (select “I’m a US Government Contractor or Grantee,” and submit the requested information), or by calling 1-866-705-5711 (state that the DUNS number is required for a government grant, and confirm a three-day turnaround).
